Batavia Plain Dirt Gardener Featured in Magazines!

Congratulations to Rosie McVay and her husband Pat.  Their garden was featured in two magazines this year.  We don't have the June issue of West Suburban Living Magazine article, which was focused on sustainable gardening, to share with you, but we do have the Chicago Land Gardening article written by Carolyn Ulrich and featuring Ron Capek’s photography.

This SATURDAY!!!!

Come one, come all!

On Saturday Nov. 18th, we will be having a work day at the Wildflower Sanctuary starting at 8:00.  Please come help with weeding, planting seeds and repairing protective the fences around our trees.  If you have them, please bring gardening gloves, tin snips, weed diggers, eye protection and a tarp or bucket for hauling.  We will be meeting by the dam and then moving over to the boardwalk area.

A Beautiful Day to Garden in the Wildflower Sanctuary!

The weather forecast for Saturday (July 8) looks perfect, and we will be having a work day at the Batavia Wildflower Sanctuary at 8:00.  We will be working on weeding and trimming on the east (shady) side, but near the dam.   If you have them, please bring gardening gloves, weed diggers, clippers, loppers, a bucket or tarp for hauling and eye protection.
